This discussion describes our potential for success as we release our lives into a life of Divine Inspiration. We are at the intersection of HEART and MARKET! By living and becoming the best of ourselves, we find our lives responding to a question of "the heart" and the marketplace: what is your passion? Within, our "passion" answers the heart as certainty of space and the amazing possibilities of content. Outwardly, our "passion" answers the marketplace in an assertive mode of self-awareness and self-definition--which the market cannot resist--because in coming in contact with us, without even realizing it, the market gets caught in our vibrations and vistas of higher level recognition. Through this, we learn about the POWER OF EXPECTATION powered by PASSION and the "renewing of our minds" under the teachings of Spirit.
This teaching resonates with so many because, as human beings, we feel and want to live out our passions even as we try to understand and describe them. This discussion says: "LIVE OUT THE PASSION IN YOUR SOUL, THE SPIRIT IS YOUR GUIDE!" Just like a volcano does not wait for scientists to figure it out before it becomes active, passion does not wait for the mind to sort it out before it becomes active.
WHAT IS YOUR PASSION?
We start with the ultimate question of today's world and marketplace: what is your passion? It's interesting because such an inward thing as "passion" has come to have great outward significance. With the continued expansion of the marketplace, technological innovations, the endless drumbeat of opportunity, and the call for creative talents everywhere, so many people are responding to the question: "WHAT IS YOUR PASSION?" This is what the question looks like without the word,"what." "___________ is your passion." As you can see, it stops being a question and becomes a seemingly incomplete statement or affirmation. Frankly, sometimes it is hard to say where the question is coming from; it could be coming from the marketplace where "talents," "gifts," and skills of all kinds are exhanged for some means of survival or from deep within the heart.
When the question comes from the heart, the word, "what" is removed and there is a blank, but not because the heart doesn't know itself and is asking the mind to fill in the blank. The heart in its truest engagement with Spirit knows itself in ways that transcend mind; it knows that the PASSIONATE REGIONS OF THE SOUL ARE SPACE, NOT CONTENT. Content implies a "thing" of some kind and, therefore, subject to change or manipulation. Space, on the other hand, is not a "thing," but the undefinable and indescrible certainty in which we know ourselves "to be."
Therefore, when we are asked by the heart, the question is a "flexible question," reflecting the state of passion in the soul: the freedom "to be" what it is (certainty!) and take on any shape or form. So we answer the question by how we live: by our choices, shaping, forming, reforming, and transforming ourselves within the splendid certainty of being. But when the question comes from the marketplace, it is a "rigid question." It does not remove the "what" in "What is your passion?" It leaves it in place because it (i.e., the market) does not know what your passion is! It wants you to tell it what you bring. Yes, at a higher level of recognition, even the marketplace recognizes that it does not recognize what Spirit has, with spindle and silken fibre, spun as your passion. YOU HAVE THE POWER TO DEFINE YOURSELF, NAME WHAT YOU BRING, AND STATE ITS VALUE. To understand this better, we ask: What is the market? We define this in terms of "manipulated" and
THE ZONE OF THE NON-MANIPULATED MARKET
First, the "manipulated market" is a physical space where duty to time honored customs and mores of the marketplace, like fair-dealing," is shirked. On another level, it is where traders exchange "bleakness," "pain," "discomfort," and "destruction." The "non-manipulated market" is a metaphysical plane: the point at which the TRANSFORMED MIND AND SPIRIT meet the external marketplace; yes, it is a neutral zone where we take our talents or the products of our talents and exhange them for some means of survival or the means to create the kinds of lives we envision for ourselves. Make no mistake that the non-manipulated market is expansive: it is also where LIFE itself is marching confidently towards never ending GOOD and people trade in the GENUINE GOODS of life: "GOOD MORNINGS," "KISSES" "HUGS" "LOTS OF LOVE" "BEST WISHES" "SLEEP WELL," "LAUGHS," "VISITS," "PRAYERS," "GOOD ADVICE" "WORDS OF COMFORT" and "SMILES." Bear in mind that this is trading in the "non-manipulated" marketplace, a zone of mental and spiritual transformation.
Manipulated markets strive to define us, tell us what we are worth, exaggerate our needs, and create our wants. BUT THE MARKET YOU "EXPECT" IS THE MARKET YOU WILL FIND! THE BEST YOU "EXPECT" IS THE BEST YOU WILL FIND! THE BLESSINGS YOU "EXPECT" ARE THE BLESSINGS YOU WILL FIND! This is what I meant in an earlier paragraph
by "higher level recognition." The energy of your "expectation" flows into the marketplace before you even get there.
And that energy is the activity and aliveness of what your spirit knows will MANIFEST. After you define yourself, name your passion, and state its value, what the market comes to recognize as your passion is something crafted in the regions of
your soul. So any contact you make with the marketplace, in whatever form, is one in which you always
have the greatest advantage for success. So expectation is critical!
THE POWER OF PASSION POWERS EXPECTATION
What gives expectation its power? First, expectation itself is "confident belief" that what we expect our concrete reality to be is what it will be. Confident belief is born of the profound characteristics of passion: space and content. Out of the certainty of
the former (space) comes the latter (content) that changes by individual choice. The content of passion is a DEEP FEELING ABOUT SOMETHING. At first, it might be fleeting and indefinite. With this deep feeling generated, we find ourselves increasingly in a state of unrest and positively bothered by something. People who summon their creative instincts to INVENT, TEACH, PERFORM, CREATE BUSINESSES, CREATE ART, WRITE, WORK FOR BUSINESSES, COACH OTHERS TO FIND THEIR PATHS, BUILD THINGS, and HEAL talk about this "inner-bother," "a kind of sweet unrest," "a nagging pleasure," a feeling which amounts to a sketch of irresistible aliveness in our souls.
Then, "passion" grows. It becomes something that fills us up. It has also been described as “liquid movement,” the blood sister of “blood” that flows in our veins. It flows in purity and strength in varying degrees of intensity. It fills us with an INTENSE DESIRE TO MOVE OR ACT. As an intense mover, it moves itself and us. We draw on it and become co-creators with Divinity in the making or creating of a passionate life—a life that is at once PASSIONATE and PURPOSEFUL. The whole business of creation (i.e., cosmic reality) is one of MANIFESTATION; consciousness in physical manifestation in the world of forms. So
just as we celebrate life as pure consciousness, we also celebrate life in form—human life, plant life, animal life, and anything else we are as LIFE; but, we never delude ourselves that the external world is all there is. We understand that anything we make or create out of our heart’s passion is connected to the physical world; we have the world of our souls and the external physical world.
When passion flows and floods our souls, we burst upon the world and the marketplace as SUPER-CONFIDENT beings or inspired super-heroes born of Spirit. Hence, EXPECTATION is the overflow of this phenomenon expressed externally. Everywhere we go, our souls recite this expectation: "OUR CONCRETE REALITY IS WHAT WE EXPECT IT TO BE!"
If we expect a world receptive to our gifts and talents, that is exactly what we will get. If we expect a world and marketplace in which we can create wealth to bless life--by putting our material blessings back into flow and circulation--that is exactly what we will have! As we experience this, we get to know the power of "passion" that moves us from within.
THE MIND'S PUZZLEMENT AND TEACHINGS OF SPIRIT
Above, I have described a knowing "within," that is beyond mind (i.e., mind unrenewed). Therefore, the mind might still be asking, "What is this passion that is the raw material out of which we can create the kind of life we want and envision for ourselves?" "What is this 'passion' that will not leave us alone?" "What is this 'thing' that is telling us we have the beauty and splendor of the stars?" "What is this rush upon the banks of the soul?" Each question carries the answer. We renew mind as we stretch out within the question: WE FIND THAT WE ARE THE ONLY ONES THERE.
